Connecting Ream Wilson and Courtney Campbell Trails

Bayshore Trail is short (less than a mile), but is a welcomed off-the-road link connecting the Ream Wilson Trail and Courtney Campbell Trail, part of Clearwater's Bay to Beach Connection. (Note: do not confuse with the "Bayshore Linear Park Trail" in Tampa.) From where Ream Wilson Trail crosses N. Bayshore Blvd., the Bayshore Trail runs south to Gulf-to-Bay Blvd. (SR 60) and the Courtney Campbell Trail. (Map link and photos below.)

Ream Wilson Trail to Gulf-to-Bay Blvd.

From the Ream Wilson crossing along N. Bayshore Blvd., the short ride south on the Bayshore Trail is uneventful.

The trail runs roadside but with a wide median and no road crossings or driveways - Cooper's Bayou and a wetlands is to the east, and a residential area is across the road to the west.
At trail end, to reach the Courtney Campbell Trail involves crossing Gulf-to-Bay Blvd. (SR 60). On our visit, construction was underway on the new pedestrian/biking overpass. Until completed, a detour exists to Courtney Campbell Trail (see below).

Note: While there's no parking along the trail, nearby free parking is available on Ream Wilson Trail at Del Oro Park (to the west), or at Cooper's Bayou Park (our preferred choice, 1/2 mile north). Paid parking is available at the Courtney Campbell Causeway Recreational Beach.

During construction of the overpass, a detour runs along Gulf to-Bay Blvd. Construction is expected to be completed in late 2026.

From Bayshore Blvd., ride on the sidewalk eastbound about 4/10 mile to Dr. Kiran Patel Blvd. (Nova Southeastern University, Clearwater Campus).
Cross Gulf-to-Bay Blvd. at the traffic signal, to the Courtney Campbell Trail.
